Designing a boy toddler’s room is a great way to set the stage for an uncluttered space (even though you know it might not stay that way) that will give your child a trend-setting environment to sleep, grow, explore and be creative. When available space is an issue, modern bedroom furniture with minimalist lines can create the appearance of the room being larger than it actually. The underlying design principle is form combined with function – this simply means that everything in the room must have a functional purpose. Choosing to decorate a boy’s room in modern style is also the ideal way to design room that will be able to grow with your child.

While black, white and other neutral colors are the norm for an adult modern style bedroom, when decorating a toddler’s room for a boy eye-popping palettes reign supreme. Paint the walls a light gray or white and then use one of these rich vibrant colors from Benjamin Moore as an accent color on at least one wall but no more than two.
The colors for the room were selected to match the Ecotots Surfin Kids Eco Friendly Toddler’s Twin Bed. The cool thing about Ecotots products is that they can be assembled without tools. Another cool thing about this bed is that while most toddler beds use crib mattresses and crib bedding, the Ecotots bed is low to the floor like a standard toddler bed but is designed for a twin mattress. This will save you having to upgrade – at least for a little while.
The Manor Hill Retro Radar Mini Bedding Set in Multi Red (twin size) has an ultra-modern design that’s as loud as it is fun. For something that is more earth-toned but will still fit into our room’s color scheme, select the Manor Hill Shadow Play Mini Bedding Set.
The Nexera Colori Double Dresser in Natural Maple has a modern appeal with its drawer/cabinet combo dresser, while the Nexera Colori 1 Drawer Night Stand in Natural Maple & Wenge Finish is the perfect bedside accessory for a lamp. The dark wood accent finish complements the bed.
